The Junior Buyer will be involved in the entire product life cycle including supply chain management aspect:

Customer analytics – Product life cycle management

3-5 Years’ experience as a junior buyer or in a similar position.

1-2 years of experience in a related position, preferably in the Retail Industry

Manage the Buying process from order placement to receipt of goods.

Extensive knowledge of current and potential market and trends.

Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Operations and Production Management or equivalent

Certification in purchasing (CPP) or production/inventory management (i.e., CPIM) is an asset.

Manage backorders and immediate supply issues that impact production schedules and communicating accordingly during regular scheduled Production/Supply meetings.

Manage Supplier Change Requests and co-ordinate internal change processes.

Assists/lead in the setting of budgetary component requirements and CIP’s.

At least 3 years' progressive Purchasing & Planning experience

Manage contracts (signature, amendments, invoice discrepancies, compliance);

Manage the supplier relationship for any contractual modifications, non-compliance or performance issues in accordance with company procedures and deadlines;

Support the finance team in managing invoice discrepancies;

Minimum of six (6) years' experience in the procurement field (airline industry an asset)

Ability to manage several files simultaneously and work as part of a team

Based on the analysis, submitting orders to be placed by production site to the supply manager

At least 3 to 5 years of purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment - absolute must

Experience purchasing raw materials - a strong asset

Bilingual with good basic written skills to communicate with international suppliers

Demonstrate strong merchant sense through product assortment, pricing, quantification, problem solving and all other business management decisions.

5-10 years experience in a similar position

Good knowledge of merchandising systems and Microsoft Excel

Experience in product development and line-buying

Education in business, finance or engineering

5+ years procurement experience within services
