Overview Electricians are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. They must be able to read blueprints, follow state and local building regulations, and understand the National Electrical Code. Detailed Job Description Electricians are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Electricians must be able to identify and troubleshoot problems with electrical systems, and make repairs as needed. They must also be able to install and maintain wiring systems, circuit breakers, and other electrical components. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and components
• Ability to read blueprints and follow state and local building regulations
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems

Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training program
