They must be able to read blueprints, follow state and local building regulations, and understand the National Electrical Code. They must be able to read blueprints, follow state and local building regulations, and understand the National Electrical Code. Electricians must be able to identify and troubleshoot problems with electrical systems, and make repairs as needed. They must also be able to install and maintain wiring systems, circuit breakers, and other electrical components. Job Skills Required

• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code
