Management of the Electrical Engineering Team, including advising on training and professional development for staff;

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or technical qualification and appropriate experience;

Registered as a P.Eng. with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) and Project Management Professional designation are preferable;

Project Management/Coordination for engineering assignments; and

Demonstrate knowledge of safety by design principals in the project work;

Manage scope, schedule, and budget on electrical discipline projects; and

Management of projects and staff in a technical consultancy or similar environment

Working knowledge of utility scale generation and interconnection; including process, requirements, and implementation

Self-starter, able to generate and contract new business, manage projects entirely

Minimum 7 years of experience in renewables development, power generation, power system design, or related field

North American experience and familiarity with codes and compliances are required

Working knowledge of various power purchase contracts, electric power system regulatory compliance, and market structures

Manage costs to ensure unused material is returned to the warehouse; assist in SAP work history, and time management.

Computer maintenance management systems (SAP).

Review equipment practices, procedures and guidelines based on site experience gained during construction phase and vendor support.

Recognized leadership experience in the relevant work environment

Electrician Journey Person with Red Seal qualification

Experience Operating and Maintaining Medium & High voltage systems in an industrial setting.

Previous experience as a manager or team lead

Collaborate with and provide support to team members to determine best practices and client requirements for software

University Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience

Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer

Knowledge of web development technologies (HTML5/Javascript//CSS/jQuery …)

Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming and Design concepts

Time Management: Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and allocate resources efficiently.

Stakeholder Management: Skill in building and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.

Proven experience as an electrical engineer, including project management and team leadership.

Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from inception to completion.

Communicate project requirements, technical concepts, and progress updates clearly and concisely.

Promote knowledge sharing and encourage innovative thinking within the team.

Very good knowledge and experience with control systems and programming.

Ability to resolve most technical issues in an efficient manner utilizing personal knowledge, external consultants and in-house experience.

Proven ability to lead Electrical team and manage their deliverables at least 4 years experience.

Minimum 10 years Electrical design engineering experience in a relevant industry, e.g. Automotive, Electrical bus or trucks.

Well-developed written and oral skills.

Assign, Review and Approve Engineers and Designers work and other relevant information for production.

Manage the Electrical 5 & 20-year Major Maintenance and Capital Project portfolio

15+ years of experience in mining, smelting, refining or similar heavy industrial facilities

Demonstrated supervisory and mentoring experience

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures

Lead, mentor and develop a small team of engineers by setting expectations and managing workloads

Provide guidance as the electrical Subject Matter Expert for planning and execution of capital projects
