Connect Transport and Region EHS objectives and programs with the Site system and processes and mobilize Site Management.

Monitor and analyze EHS performance, ensure standard reporting is delivered & accurate, and deliver EHS Management reports.

Monitors compliance to all relevant country statutory, regulatory, contractual and company requirements.

Recognized Health and Safety Qualification to Diploma or Degree level

Environmental Qualification to Diploma or Degree level

Significant experience (10 years min) in EHS function in an industrial environment and/or construction environment

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field of study.

8+ years experience selling construction services across various markets (commercial, industrial / power, and public), preferably in the Toronto market.

The ability to develop strong relationships within the Toronto restoration marketplace, including owners, engineers and property managers.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Partnering with other business leaders to formulate operational business strategies, establish goals and implement solutions.

Create and maintain a culture and environment focused on teamwork and collaboration.

● Proven experience in project management skills in retail, commercial, or industrial settings.

● Financial Management experience in the areas of understanding P&L statements, preparing, forecasting, and managing budgets.

● Experience in continuous improvement and/or change management process.

8-12 years of experience in a retail environment is preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role is required.

Experience in overseeing and monitoring client satisfaction levels.

· Sound knowledge on environmental, health and safety management (ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001).

· Time Management Skills - ability to balance and prioritize numerous deadlines with excellent organizational skills.

· Technological Skills – strong working knowledge of systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

· Manage EHS coordinators and/or interns as needed and work closely with the corporate EHS team

· Knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations. Knowledge of wastewater treatment

· Good knowledge of major environment risks

Strong computer skills; experience with Microsoft platforms is an asset

10+ years of Production and Supply Chain experience, with a minimum of 5 years leadership experience managing a production plant

3-5 years of experience applying the principles of lean manufacturing to a light manufacturing/consumer produced goods operation

Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant area of study or related ASCM certification is considered an asset

Excellent leadership qualities, with the ability to delegate, train employees, define & set goals and manage expectations

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

Bachelor’s degree required: Business, Chemistry, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field.

Certifications in disciplines such as Procurement (SCMP/CPSM), Inventory Management (CIPS), Lean Six Sigma, or Operational Planning preferred

10 + years of progressive experience in purchasing management and 5+ years’ experience of leading team

Excellent organizational, planning, problem solving, decision making and time management skills, with strong attention to detail.

Develop and maintain strong internal and external business relationships, across all levels, working closely with Operations and Functional Procurement Management.

In-depth knowledge of procure-to-pay best practices.

Exceptional organizational and time management skills

Prepare monthly and quarterly EHS/Hu status and statistical reports for Senior Director, EHS and Project Senior Management Team

Work with project management teams and field workers to implement and devise solutions to safety-related issues on project sites

Work with senior management to continuously improve their Health and Safety and Hu Programs

Knowledge, Skills & Training Needs

Minimum 5 years’ experience coordinating and managing health and safety for construction projects

A contemporary approach and skillset for good investigation, root cause analysis and risk management,

Proven experience in a similar role in civil construction or another high-risk industry

Strong verbal and written communication, workshop facilitation and interpersonal skills

Sound conceptual and analytical skills, with effective problem solving and an inquisitive mind

Sound computer experience (eg Microsoft, Excel, Powerpoint and other)

Demonstrated legislative knowledge, interpretation, and practical application with employees.

Developing and implementing the facility's process safety management program

Developing/implementing Environmental Emergency Plans pursuant to Environment Canada requirements

Ensuring that the requirements of Spill Control and Drainage Systems/Secondary Containment for Aboveground Storage Tanks are being met

Responsible for employee safety training and certification as required; and participates on the facility's safety committee

Health Canada, Metro Vancouver, BC Ministry of the Environmental and Environment Canada regulation knowledge is essential
