Digital Physical Design Engineer Jobs

Experienced in using project management tools like JIRA or other Agile methodologies

Establishing and facilitating the risk management process for new projects and initiatives by working with internal stakeholders to drive objectives

Prior experience in one or more of semiconductor backend functions (Synthesis, Layout, Physical Verification, STA) is a must

Excellent verbal and written communicational skills.

Working with multi-time-zone locations of cross-functional teams from Design, Implementation, ATPG, Layout, CAD, MS domains

Planning, developing and tracking tasks across IP and SoC development, CAD Flow development, Vendor Tools deployment, Post-Si test eco-System

Setting up and supporting flows for

Design-for-Power using Industry Standard Tools and Methods

Place and Route, Clock Tree Synthesis

ECO flow for timing and functional fixes

Physical Design verification and analysis flows

Refine Physical Design Techniques for optimal Power, Performance, and/or Area (PPA)

Solid understanding of software-defined physical infrastructure architectures (digital twins, software-defined energy management, etc.), open hardware, physical infrastructure observability, sustainability and security

Driving next-generation technology development & innovation to guide decisions on new investments and service offerings;

20+ years of experience, including 12+ years of relevant infrastructure technology, architecture or engineering leadership experience

Excellent writing and verbal communications skills from engineering to executive

Excellent collaboration and people skills

Developing the company’s technology roadmap and target architecture to advance the vision of Platform Equinix based on a “software-defined-everything” model; and

Knowledge of Hardware Description Languages (Verilog/VHDL)

Interest and knowledge of processor/computer architecture

Interest and knowledge of the full ASIC design flow, including design, verification, synthesis, P&R

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Implementation of Tenstorrent IP and SOC RTL logic in Verilog

Experience or Knowledge in C/C++ programming, automation and scripting with languages such as Python/Perl/TCL/Shell

Work experience: 5 years of ASIC development experience

Experience in RTL design and verification, in Verilog, SystemVerilog or VHDL

Experience in debugging using precision lab instruments (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.)

Working knowledge of DDR and Flash Controller/PHY/memory considered an asset

Excellent analytical and debugging skills
