Manage inbound shipments and update inventory

Practical warehouse experience is valued

Knowledge and understanding of safety protocol

Report missing and damaged products

Prep products for outbound shipments

Pack products into shipping boxes

Knowledge/experience in commercial laundry procedures and ability to meet physical requirements of the job

Demonstrated knowledge of proper linen care and stain removal

To assist in the collection and sorting of soiled personal clothing and linens and pre- treat stains as required;

To inspect soiled linens or personal laundry and complete any required repairs, e.g. rips, tears, buttons;

To serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner;

To assist in the set up and preparation for service of various items such as beverages, salads, desserts, etc.;

To set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required;

At least 6 months of experience as a waiter/waitress in a dining environment

Performs meal service as required relating to beverage and meal service, plating of food, clearing and cleaning of dining rooms etc.

Assists residents with menu selection as required and serves food and beverages to residents in designated areas

Responsible for the setting, clearing, cleaning, and sanitizing of resident dining and service areas

Collects and strips trays for dish washing

Conveys residents’ complaints to Dietary Supervisor

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Ensuring food is handled in a safe manner, including proper storage and labeling

Assisting cooks in basic food preparation

Executing proper food service in relation to internal and external guidelines and protocols

Serving meals according to Resident diet orders

Must have effective verbal and written English communication skills.

Following proper food handling techniques.

Dates, labels, and stores food properly.

Keeping work area clean and uncluttered, and completes scheduled cleaning duties.

Maintaining cleanliness of floors in the food preparation, dish room, and storage areas.

Assisting in the preparation of meals, serving meals and beverages, following residents' diets and food preferences, using proper portion sizes.

Successful completion and/or enrollment in a Food Service Worker Program meeting the requirements of the Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act required

Previous dietary experience in a long-term care setting considered an asset

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 75lbs.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Have a caring heart with a passion for serving others

Must have previous knowledge and experience in Food Service.

Demonstrates organizational skills and ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.

Working knowledge of WHMIS and MSDS Sheets.

Must have Food Handler's certificate.

Mentally and physically able to perform duties as assigned.

Demonstrates empathy, concern, and interest in providing quality service to our Residents.

Participates in facility meetings as assigned. Attends in-service education programs.

- Valid Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification required.

- Relevant experience with people living with developmental disability and their families.

Occupational Health and Safety Accountabilities

Scheduling (Nursing main focus as well as other departments)

Must successfully complete a written skills, communication and English competency test.

Two years of relevant housekeeping experience preferably in health care.

Knowledge of Workplace Safety & Health practices.

General cleaning of the facility.

Replenishing soap and paper supplies.

Additional duties for isolation cleaning as assigned.

Demonstrated working experience with the elderly in a health care setting, knowledgeable with respect to their needs

Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatment and related bedside care to resident

As part of legislative requirements, all successful candidates must meet the provincial police check and tuberculosis screening requirements as applicable.

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification (BCLS) preferred

Ensures and promotes the provision of resident-focused care to meet the needs of residents

Provides cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support

Proficient in using payroll management software and HRIS systems.

Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payment disbursement.

Maintain employee records, including personal information, attendance, leaves, and benefits.

Process new hires, terminations, and employment status changes in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.

Stay up-to-date with labor laws, taxation regulations, and compliance requirements to ensure payroll accuracy and legal adherence.

Median Hourly Rate (Depending on Experience): $40-45/hour + benefits

Engaging in continuous learning and skills development

Participate in and adhere to CARF related requirements

Work in a multi-disciplinary clinical setting which includes Occupational Therapists, Physicians, Kinesiologists, Psychologists/Clinical Counselors and Case Managers

Experience working in a multi-disciplinary clinical environment is ideal

Experience in evidence-based assessment and rehabilitation services for injured workers with musculoskeletal injuries
