Lead the engineering our platform ingestion [JA1] , orchestration, data warehouse/data lake and API strategies for our data management ecosystem.

Attention to detail and solid written and verbal English communication skills.

Architecture design. Experience in leading the design and implementation of lambda architectures for scalable and reliable data processing.

Scrum methodologies. experience of working within scrum frameworks and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

Cloud. We are Azure hosted and experience of this is a strong preference. However other Cloud platforms like AWS/GCP are acceptable.

Significant investment in skills development and training

8+ years of application design, development, and testing experience

3+ years of experience leading engineering projects

Experience with API development (REST, GraphQL, or gRPC)

Solid experience with relational and/or NoSQL database systems

Well-experienced in developing and executing automated unit, functional, and integration tests

Knowledge of source code control systems, especially Git

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and project management, to define quality standards, acceptance criteria, and testing timelines.

Proven experience (5 years) in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on leading QA efforts for complex software projects.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

Hands-on experience with automated checks of tests quality (Sonarqube etc)

Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.

Location: Start of remote and then 1 - 2 days weekly onsite at downtown Toronto office

Experience with ActiveReports or Crystal Reports as a Project Lead/Tech Lead

Previous VB.NET (.NET Framework 4.8) background as a developer or experience in a dev environment.

Contract Duration : 12 months, renewable

To be very strong technically. Must be able to speak with developers technically.

Experienced in or strong working knowledge of credit card systems is an asset

Possesses solid analytical skills for complex problem solving. Is able to manage multiple priorities

Possesses a university degree/college diploma and/or 10+ years software development experience

Experience in leading technology teams with varied technology platforms
