TSYS Tech Lead

Apex Systems is a Global IT Services Firm and our Consulting practice is looking for a Tech Lead to place at our client, a Big Five Bank. You will be joining a highly collaborative, fast-paced, and high-performing team.

• Estimated Start Date: 3-4 weeks from the offer
• Client: Big Five Bank
• Working Location: Hybrid - 1-2 out of downtown office - Toronto
• Length of Contract: 6 Months Contract (With a strong chance of extension or permanent conversion)
• Working Hours: Business hours, 37.5hrs/week, Monday-Friday
• Line of Business: Retail Banking

Project: BOTW Conversion

The Technology Lead will be responsible for effective software development activities for Retail Payments Line of Business (Credit Cards). The Technology Lead will work with technology project managers, developers, business analysts, solution architects, engineering/architecture teams, testing teams, vendors, business

teams and delivery teams from various groups within and outside. The position requires a self-starter with strong software development skills, and proven experience delivering complex technology projects.

The Technology Lead is responsible for delivery of quality software solutions which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and

support of applications to ensure alignment with IT strategies and adherence to relevant enterprise standards.

Qualifications

Knowledge:

• Experience in software integration using SOAP, REST web services
• TS2 options
• Experience in database technologies such as Oracle and SQL Server is an asset
• Previous experience working with TSYS as a vendor (particularly with TS2 platform)
• Understand TSYS change process
• Experience in Java, J2EE, Web and/or Microsoft .NET technologies
• Mainframe
• Experience in leading technology teams with varied technology platforms
• Files/Real time MQ and API’s
• Possesses a university degree/college diploma and/or 10+ years software development experience
• Mainframe Knowledge
• Demonstrates expert knowledge of design and analysis methodology and application development processes from both an industry and
• Has knowledge in trouble shooting TSYS issues/escalations and down stream Bank systems/applications
• TSYS Development process
• TSYS applications which may include TLP

Client perspective

• Exhibits expert understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) (including emerging trends in DevOps and Agile), Quality

Assurance requirements, and software development control and release procedures

• Demonstrates expert understanding of relevant and emerging technologies and industry directions
• Experienced in or strong working knowledge of credit card systems is an asset
