Data Storage Specialist Jobs in Quebec

Allocate storage to end-users and development teams based on established departmental requirements and available disk space.

- At least 3 years relevant experience with Dell EMC

- Knowledge of Linux environments

- Knowledge of Windows environments

- Knowledge of VMware environments

- minimum 3 years SAN (Storage Area Network) experience

Maintain management class constructs defining retention requirements for data sets

Process required Mainframe SMS construct modifications online using TSO logon and Interactive System Management Facility (ISMF)

Maintain Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) parameter library members assigned to control execution

Support IBM Mainframe storage management disciplines utilizing DF/SMS ACS routines

Analyze mainframe DASD space availability by Systems Managed Storage Complex (SMSPLEX) and by System Complex (SYSPLEX)

Support for upgrading Systems Managed Storage (SMS), Hierarchical Storage Manager (HSM) and of Device Facility Product (DFP)

Experience acting as a subject matter expert and key point of contact on all data and master data management

Experience in capturing and documenting business requirements for data or master date projects.

Manage the set-up and maintenance of all item types in appropriate item systems

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies.

Minimum 3 years of overall data-centric experience on either business or IT side

·Relationship-building and influencing skills, and the ability to effectively manage through change and growth.

·Strongorganizational skills,able to take initiative, manage deadlines and work well independently and within a team.

·Time management is up to the contractor; all work should be completed by August 31, 2023.
