Customs Compliance Administrator Jobs

College or university degree, preferably in Supply Chain and/or Logistics Management

Assists Carriers/Sales with delivery/paperwork exceptions/delays; escalates to manager as required

Provides support to Logistics & Customs Compliance Manager for Customs Inquiries/Audits i.e. CF-28

3+ years of related experience. Some supply chain or logistics related field job experience

Experience with International & Domestic Shipping, Transportation and Customs processes and regulations

Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Word, Visio, BI, PowerPoint)

A working knowledge and experience with the following is required

Request and manage quotations from prospective shipping companies and handle claims with insurance companies if any shipment problems occur.

Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving and organizational skills.

Must have superb administrative skills.

3 to 5 years experience in a similar role, preferably related to manufacturing.

Successful completion of post secondary education.

Strong organization skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/activities and ensure successful completion.

Effective written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail are critical to succeed in the role.

Review tariff schedules, explanatory notes, and rulings and Collaborating with Customs Broker and internal contacts as required.

Provide back-up support to team members as required.

Assist with obtaining affidavits and certifications from suppliers

Hold an international logistics diploma or any other combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the position

Have a good knowledge of customs and Incoterms

Have a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Suite Office

Have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar position

Have an experience in dealing with freight forwarders and customs brokers would be an asset

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

- Some relevant work experience in the financial services industry or in a compliance-related role preferred.

- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
