Control Systems Specialist Jobs

Responsible for the technical aspects of integration projects and project management responsibilities as required

Report regularly to management and/or Team Leads and complete necessary documentation

Successful track record of project management and maintaining client relationships

Hourly Pay based on Skills and Experience (reviewed regularly to align with career growth)

Manage client relationships and project scope as directed

Post Secondary Education in Electrical Engineering, Robotics & Automation, or similar education

Minimum five years of experience developing and testing control systems;

In-depth knowledge of PLCs and SCADA programming and configuration, including familiarity with several IEC61131 languages;

Excellent oral and written communication skills;

Experience in the nuclear industry;

Work as part of a technical project team to deliver technical documentation, hardware, and software to customers;

Support proposal preparations as required.

Bring best practice knowledge on the implementation of procedural automation, alarm management and controller performance monitoring.

Experience with safety instrumented systems such as Boiler Management Systems or safety instrumented systems.

Knowledge and experience interfacing with production data historian systems such as OSI Pi

Review project documentation such as P&IDs and process descriptions to define control systems hardware and software requirements.

Manage Process Control Network (PCN) equipment including Windows servers and desktop PCs. (With some IT Support)

Expertise / experience with various vendor DCS/PLC and HMI systems (ABB, Rockwell, Siemens, etc.)

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.

Support the justification and budget to management as may be required to obtain project/program approval.

Prepare systems/subsystems requirements and specifications, operational processes, preliminary and detailed design/drawings, and applications specific to the project/program environment, as required.

Support on-site construction testing and commissioning work to ensure that project/program requirements are met.

Demonstrate specialized expertise and knowledge in the assigned field

Thorough and current knowledge of design engineering principles and practices of conventional (track circuit) and CBTC systems.

3+ years' experience in material planning/inventory control and supply chain management in the manufacturing industry.

Post secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Inventory Control or Operations Management.

Good communication, time management and organizational skills.

Experience with lean manufacturing methodologies.

Able to follow processes, make decisions, prioritize, manage time effectively, learn quickly and have a sense of urgency.

Strong interpersonal skills, is a team player, but also works effectively independently.
