Collaborate with vendors for ongoing support and issues management

Make necessary changes in the Payroll system to keep the information up to date (Paye, Benefits, work accidents, disability, etc.)

Manage various ad hoc projects in relation with payroll

Act as a resource person for leaders for topics in connection with payroll and Benefits

Have a minimum of one (2) year of experience in a similar position;

Leadership to the payroll team, monitor team performance, coaching and mentoring to direct reports and lead overall process management

5+ years of Canadian payroll related work experience in a leadership position

Previous experience with Workday (an asset) but not a must

Canadian Payroll experience a must

College/University degree in Business/HR with at least 5 years of Canadian payroll related work experience in a leadership position

Excellent knowledge of payroll accounting and payroll business processes

Develop Process maps and Standard Operating procedures to meet implementation requirements.

Functional experience in UKG Dimension time & attendance, Global View & Celergo from blueprinting & configurations to payroll processing in production.

Experience in issue analysis, solution documentation and implementation approach.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent problem-solving, facilitation and interpersonal skills.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.

2+ years of people management experience

Maintain proper change management documentation to satisfy the company’s internal/external audit controls and compliance practices.

2+ years experience configuring Workday Payroll (preference for Absence & Time Tracking)

Experience with third-party Payroll providers (ADP & CloudPay preferred)

Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills are essential

Preferred experience maintaining systems that support complex organizations covering multiple geographies

Deep knowledge in SLA constructs and adherence

A Bachelors degree (preferable in Computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent experience

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Workday Payroll Module

Workday Payroll certification is mandatory

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Good Analytical skills with ability to solve complex incidents, provide suggestions\best practices
