Construction Quality Manager Jobs

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a QA/QC management role within the construction or industrial sector.

Strong understanding of quality management systems and their application in construction projects.

Lead and manage the QA/QC team, overseeing all quality control activities on the project site.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Extensive knowledge of ASME codes, particularly related to welding processes (ASME Section IX).

Proven experience in overseeing pipe and structural welding quality control activities.

Regularly evaluates the adequacy (and update if required) of all quality management plans, procedures and other documents pertaining to USRC Project.

Assists the Quality Manager in reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating supplier’s performance, interim and final deliverables for adherence to project requirements.    

Competent knowledge of the ISO 9001 requirements.

Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Post-Secondary education in Engineering, Quality or any other related field. Bachelors in Engineering is preferred.

 Minimum 5 to 7 years of related experience in quality in construction projects.

Execution of the Quality Management System as outlined in the Construction Quality Plan.

Understand best practices of job set-up and management,

Supports the construction roles in the management and control of subcontractors.

Supervises the correct equipment calibration management activities.

Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering or acceptable combination education and or experience.

Minimum 10-15 years’ experience as a Quality Manager in Civil, transportation, subway and/or LRT sector

Possess familiarity with crane safety requirements and the NAVFAC P-307 (Management of Weight Handling equipment) specification

In conjunction with the Navy Construction Manager (CM), review and provide recommendations toward approval of contractor-submitted quality control plans.

Perform related construction engineering tasks as assigned by the SJS Program Manager, the Navy Construction Manager or his or her designee.

Attend selective quality control, preparatory and initial meetings, and monitor three-phase checklists for accuracy and thoroughness.

Take, file and distribute progress photos at work sites.

Validate quantity, condition and approval of materials on site before the Government issues invoice payments to contractors.
