Experience with High Hazard Work Activity, Confined Space, LOTO, and Fall Protection

Strong MS Office computer skills.

Conducting of corporate, site-specific, and tailgate safety training for employees

Performing daily site safety inspections to assure the safety of employees, visitors, and clients

Informing the HSE Director as to the effectiveness of the Health and Safety Program and any necessary changes

Advanced Security Training is mandatory

Must have BC Class 5 Drivers License

Ensuring Workers’ Compensation claims are captured in incident management database and provide support to management and employees as needed;

Providing reports to Management/Senior Management/Human Resources on OH&S issues;

Must be able to obtain qualifications in Canadian Rail Operating Rules (CROR).

Analytical and problem-solving skills to examine incidents and problems, detect root causes, and resolve issues.

Manage the Workplace Communicable Disease Prevention Plan/COVID-19 Safety Plan and ensure ongoing compliance

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Solid understanding and knowledge of OHS regulations in BC and Canada, including WorkSafe BC Regulations and the Worker’s Compensation Act
