Compliance Supervisor Jobs

Knowledge and Experience that are assets:

Work closely with regulators and third parties to coordinate, prepare and manage audits, examinations and reviews.

Act as a key resource for business units of company and regulatory business conduct compliance requirements

In-depth knowledge of the Canadian securities industry, including SRO and CSA regulations

3+ years related experience required preferably in a compliance or audit role

Experience in Compliance Programs including administering formal audits

Supports the establishment and enforcement of compliance policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and client guidelines

University undergraduate degree or relevant certification from a recognized institution

At least 2 years of experience working in a compliance, legal, risk or similar role

Experience in the financial services industry or a regulatory organization is preferred

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills

Previous experience in automotive compliance testing is essential.

Strong background as a test engineer, including experience in designing and conducting various tests.

Proficient technical writing skills to create accurate and concise reports.

Demonstrated experience working with regulatory bodies such as Transport Canada, NHTSA, Environment Canada, and EPA.

Knowledge of localizing products for the North American market.

Professional Engineer (P. Eng) certification is highly desirable to oversee testing report sign-off.

Post-secondary education preferred; however, applicants with an equivalent level of training or experience will be considered

Dedicated team player, keen on sharing knowledge, skills and ideas with team members and business partners

Manage timelines to ensure regulatory changes and project work are completed within the defined schedules

In-depth knowledge of the GRS business and products required

Knowledge of legislation applicable to GRS is required and emphasis on pension legislation preferred

Strong organization skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities independently

6+ years – Experience in enterprise risk management and vendor risk management

Create and continuously improve various vendor risk management standards (i.e., third party incident monitoring templates, monitoring guidelines).

Assess resource requirements and determine a feasible approach to skill-mix working in conjunction with key stakeholders.

Enterprise risk management best practices and controls.

Exposure to risk management oversight activities.

Project Management, Relationship & Engagement: (45%)

The primary responsibilities for this role include:

Assist clients with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) processes and procedures

Assist clients with development of AML programs, including policies and procedures, risk assessments, and training

Monitor updates to AML/TF legislation and implement changes

Time and project management to meet rigorous deadlines on multiple concurrent tasks

Experience in the measurement of Operational Risk and the Internal Controls Framework in Financial Institutions is a plus.

Undergraduate degree with a preferred Client in math, finance or business related majors.

Good knowledge of the financial / banking industry and of the bank’s operations, in general.

Good knowledge of Payments Operations (SWIFT, CHIPS, FED, Correspondent Banking...) is a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) with advanced technical skills particularly working with spreadsheets and databases is a plus.

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

- Some relevant work experience in the financial services industry or in a compliance-related role preferred.

- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders across the organization.

- Experience using Confluence and Jira

Demonstrated experience in compliance tracking, policy/standards development, program/project management, and regulatory/technical report preparation

Two (2) years of experience performing duties related to the above mentioned major responsibilities
