Promote Victim Services through active community involvement, including participation in community committees, focus groups, and educational events.

Accept referrals from RCMP, general public and community colleagues with a quick response time for initial client contact.

Assist clients with forms such as Victim Impact Statement, Crime Victim Assistance Program, supportive housing, income assistance and other relevant referrals.

Minimum 11 years of relevant experience including management in a post-secondary environment

Knowledge of the polytechnic educational structure

Provides academic and operational leadership to the Chairs, managers, and staff

Ensures that faculty and staff responsibilities are consistent with college policies and procedures

Exceptional leadership skills demonstrated in a senior level role

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Maintaining and organizing a caseload to ensure legislative requirements are met and services provided;

Making recommendations as to eligibility or for programming or training;

Minimum of one year (post BSW) clinical experience in Mental Health & Addictions

Screening and risk assessment skills, including Suicide Risk Assessment

High degree of independent practice, excellent assessment skills, and the ability to implement an evidenced based plan of care

Ability to navigate and de-escalate situations and offer crisis support

Ability to use motivational interviewing skills and engage with clients/families

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work

Knowledge and prior experience in use of SAP software and Meditech considered an asset

Minimum of two years secretarial experience required

Advanced working knowledge and proficiency with a variety of computer software and programs, specifically Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including direct interaction with clients, staff and public

Demonstrated excellent organizational and prioritizing skills

Medical Terminology Course or equivalent
