Support the (Senior) Communications Manager in the development of campaign and program plans to secure press placement and meet marketing objectives.

+5 years of professional working experience in PR, Communications or a similar role.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate a key message.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and delivering effective media results.

A combination of agency and in-house experience is considered an asset.

Manages media inquiries in a timely manner, determines response, and forwards as appropriate to other communications consultants.

Creates strategic communication plans, briefing notes, and media materials to manage issues, ensuring messages and tactics are consistent and clear.

Develops internal relationships to stay abreast of projects and initiatives that may require or benefit from communications input.

Mentoring and coaching skills to guide and motivate team members.

Creative with strong visual communication experience (e.g., executive level presentations that tells a story with crisp graphics).

Experience with social media, multimedia, website content development and management an asset.

Previous experience in a health care, government, public sector, not-for-profit, or corporate environment an asset.

Developing the day-to-day informational needs of stakeholder groups.

Assisting the communications team and program areas with content planning and development, for web, social media, advertising, printed materials, etc.

Leading the development and implementation of communications priorities established within department plans and NH’s business plan.

Providing communications leadership and advice to projects, both internal and external to NH.
