They help students identify their academic and career goals, develop a plan to achieve them, and provide resources and support to help them succeed. College Counselors also provide guidance on financial aid, scholarships, and other college-related topics. Detailed Job Description A College Counselor is responsible for providing guidance and support to students as they navigate the college admissions process. They help students identify their academic and career goals, develop a plan to achieve them, and provide resources and support to help them succeed. College Counselors also provide guidance on financial aid, scholarships, and other college-related topics. They may also provide assistance with college applications, essays, and resumes. College Counselors must be able to work with a variety of students, from those who are just beginning to explore college options to those who are ready to apply. Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in counseling, education, or a related field
• Master’s degree in counseling, education, or a related field preferred
• Previous experience working with college-aged students
• Certification in college counseling preferred
