Reporting adverse events in accordance with manufacturer specific requirements, Health Canada and INVIVA policy.

Maintaining knowledge of medical therapies as per Health Canada’s Product Monograph.

Maintaining knowledge of INVIVA policies and procedures.

Extensive knowledge and experience caring for patients with Heart Failure preferred

Previous experience in providing and delivering patients and families with educational teaching

Demonstrated experience and knowledge with HIS and computer preferred

Identifies patient/family educational learning needs

Provide education and instruction to patients and their families, in collaboration with the inter professional team and follow-up, as required

Minimum of 3 years Cardiology and/or Coronary Care experience

Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict management skills required.

Excellent time management and organization skills

Venipuncture IV certification and ECG skills required

Current BCLS certification required; ACLS preferred

Must have recent, related PACU or ICU experience

Demonstrated excellent physical, health and psychological assessment skills

Demonstated clinical experience in a ralated program area required.

A minimum of 1 year current surgical experience required.

Previous experience in an outpatient setting required.

Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required.

Appropriate C.N.A certification (or equivalent), for program area.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with WRHA policy.

Working closely with pediatric generalists and specialists

Must be fully bilingual (French and English)

Minimum 3 years recent clinical experience in, PACU, Anesthesia Nursing, ICU or Operating Room (OR) Nursing required.

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively with other health disciplines required.

Critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently is required.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.

Successful completion of a recognized Operating Room or Intensive Care Program preferred.

Demonstrated ability to establish IV’s required. Setting up and interpreting invasive monitoring, preferred.

Asisting with clinical patient care and education for patients requiring pre-operative and pre-anaesthetic assessment and preparation.

Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in PACU required.

Ambulatory Care/Community Health experience preferred.

Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required.
