As a Senior Manager, your responsibilities are to:

Lead business development initiatives including service offering development and roll-out, proposal development, responding to RFX’s and participating in oral presentations

Have experience developing and evaluating decarbonization strategies and cleantech opportunities

Have experience with assessing the physical risks of different climate hazards on operations and supply chains

Excellent project management and team leadership skills

As a Manager, your responsibilities are to:

8+ years of professional experience climate resilience building ideally in a consulting role with some responsibility for business development/sales.

Experience in assessing climate change risk using scenario analysis

Experience working with financial institutions on assessing climate risk and opportunities to portfolios would also be an asset

Exemplary written and verbal communication skills

Conduct a review of the scientific literature on internationally recognized standards and update the corporate GHG management plan.

Resourcefulness, proactivity, autonomy and effective time management.

0 to 3 years of relevant experience.

Data analysis and problem solving skills.

Excellent knowledge of Excel and interest in tools development.

Knowledge of WRI/WBCSD protocols (scope 1, 2 and 3) used to calculate carbon footprint.

Analyze and interpret energy or GHG emissions and climate risk management and adaptation data.

Assist in and/or lead energy and emissions management initiatives of industrial processes and buildings to identify improvement opportunities.

Assist in the prioritization, leadership, and implementation of energy and GHG conservation and/or climate risk management and adaptation projects.

Previous experience in the mining or nuclear industry

Research and communicate key emerging information and trends relating to global climate risk management practices, as needed; and

Good understanding and hands on experience/projects on environmental and sustainability related topics;

Keen attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills;

Collaborate with Corporate and site staff to identify data sources and collect information necessary to execute work;

Support development of climate action plans at B2Gold’s mine operations;

• Manage committee membership lists.

• Minimum 1-2 years experience working in government, industry, non-governmental or trade association.

• Demonstrated knowledge of the Canadian energy or environmental sector is a strong asset.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks with competing deadlines.

• Review and analyze documents and produce brief summaries for member distribution.

Foundational knowledge in sustainability and application of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), SASB, TCFD, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 26000

Foundational knowledge of GHG quantification and/or familiarity with the GHG Protocol
