Client Information Systems Technician Jobs

Designs, develops and maintains, and/or works with-outside vendors to develop SQL database and software applications supporting HR process/program and knowledge needs.

Demonstrated knowledge of electronic information systems.

Demonstrated skills in data research, gathering, data modeling, and business analysis using tools such as R, SAS, SSPS

Knowledge of database development and administration

Demonstrated knowledge in machine learning and predictive analysis

Demonstrated skills with building and maintain SQL Server Integration

Maintain and/or advise other occupations on the maintenance of the electromechanical and refrigeration requirements of telecommunications equipment

Manage the life-cycle of material related to various telecommunications and information systems

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all types of radios, radar and data processing, cryptographic, terminal, audio and video equipment

Perform inspections, performance tests and adjustments on strategic and tactical fixed and mobile telecommunications equipment

Perform repairs, overhaul and support maintenance on telecommunications equipment

Perform installations and acceptance tests

Wired and wireless communications and information systems

Fibre optic and copper wire broadband technology

Voice and data network equipment and servers

Dismounted offensive and defensive operations

Installation and operation of information systems

Maintenance and operation of power generating systems

2.Develop, update and maintain GIS standard work procedures while identifying and recommending opportunities for process improvements.

8.Interact with outside consultants and municipalities in order that GIS data is shared and interpreted successfully.

11.Provide technical support, guidance and training to users of the GIS

12.Install and configure GIS software and apply associated upgrades.

13.Troubleshoot software problems, liaise with vendor for resolution and / or escalate to GIS Analyst as necessary.

14.Assist in the development of standards and procedures for the integration of data to the GIS.

Participate in department projects and initiatives; provide input, support research, manage assigned tasks, deliverables and timelines

Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in a GIS Technician Role

Detailed knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Suite (ArcGIS Pro), various GIS file types, FME and Global Mapper

Excellent verbal and written communications skills along with the proven track record to handle multiple tasks concurrently and effectively

Experience in upstream Oil and Gas, preferably British Columbia is an asset

Flexible arrangement options including working from home and a compressed work week with Friday afternoons off (office-based roles)

Implement a strategic project management approach that prioritizes small to medium sized projects while maximizing team productivity.

Assess and monitor the IT department budget and manage the allocation of funds.

3-5 years’ experience programming in the RPG language (intermediate level).

Knowledge and an understanding of the trucking industry.
