Overview Claims Assistants are responsible for providing administrative support to the Claims Department of an insurance company. They are responsible for processing and managing claims, providing customer service, and ensuring that all claims are handled in a timely and accurate manner. Detailed Job Description Claims Assistants are responsible for providing administrative support to the Claims Department of an insurance company. They are responsible for processing and managing claims, providing customer service, and ensuring that all claims are handled in a timely and accurate manner. They must be able to accurately assess the validity of claims and determine the appropriate course of action. Claims Assistants must also be able to communicate effectively with customers, adjusters, and other personnel. Job Skills Required• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of insurance policies and procedures
• Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
• Ability to analyze and interpret data
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role
• Knowledge of insurance policies and procedures

• Analyze and interpret data to determine the validity of claims
• Communicate effectively with customers, adjusters, and other personnel
• Ensure that all claims are handled in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate records of all claims
• Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
