Select activities that will help individuals learn work and life-management skills within the limits of their mental and physical capabilities.

Assist clients to perform various other activities such as cleaning, laundry, money management, home management and home safety.

Working knowledge of current psychiatric rehabilitation, psychosocial approaches, and recovery practices.

Demonstrated knowledge of the major categories of mental illness and substance use and their appropriate rehabilitation treatments.

Demonstrated leadership and presentation skills.

Coordinates rehabilitation resources, including but not limited to, Peer Support, Therapeutic Volunteer and Rehabilitation Fund programs.

Supervises as preceptor to occupational therapy students as required.

Knowledge of the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia Essential Competencies of Practice

Basic computer literacy including applicable software, hardware and remote/virtual technology applications.

Maintains patient records, clinical outcome measures and statistical data in accordance with department, facility and professional standards.

Provides instruction, feedback and supervision of students to facilitate student learning, by modeling professional and ethical occupational therapy practice.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Grade 12, two (2) years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Contribute to the organization and delivery of occupational therapy services, and participate in departmental/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education.

Basic knowledge of evidence-based clinical practice related to designated clinical area.

Broad knowledge of occupational therapy standardized tests and measures.

Broad knowledge of occupational therapy theory and practice within a client and family centred model of care.

Broad knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in client care.
