Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join the Sunshine Coast Home Care Services team in Sechelt and Gibson, BC. Apply today to join our team!


As an Occupational Therapist with VCH you will
  • Provide occupational therapy services to clients in the community to achieve quality client focused care.
  • Planning and implementing goal directed services,
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of the service,
  • Work without general supervision and may be required to supervise up to and including two (2) FTE.
  • Preparing and maintaining records.
  • Contribute to the organization and delivery of occupational therapy services, and participate in departmental/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education.
  • Identifying and assessing client’s performance issues utilizing an evidence-based approach,

Education & Experience


  • Degree in occupational therapy or rehabilitation medicine.
  • Valid BC Driver’s License. Local travel requires the use of a personal vehicle
  • Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
  • Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).


Knowledge & Abilities


  • Ability to supervise.
  • Broad knowledge of occupational therapy theory and practice within a client and family centred model of care.
  • Basic knowledge of evidence-based clinical practice related to designated clinical area.
  • Demonstrated ability to function as a team member.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and clients both one-on-one and in groups.
  • Broad knowledge of occupational therapy standardized tests and measures.
  • Broad knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in client care.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish workload priorities in collaboration with others in a complex health care environment.
  • Skilled in the use of equipment, and in the techniques appropriate for occupational therapy treatment.
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize when referral to another health care professional is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective consultation.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and empower clients to assume control over their health.


The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.


As per the current Public Health Orders (Long Term Care/Seniors Assisted Living Provincial Health Officer Order and the Health Sector Order), as of October 26, 2021, all employees working for Vancouver Coastal Health must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Proof of vaccination status will be required.

Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Booking Clerk to join the Medical Imaging Clerical Support team at Ridge Meadows Hospital in Maple Ridge, BC. Apply today to join our team!


As a Booking Clerk working with a Medical Imaging department you will
  • Performs scheduling and booking functions for a variety of patient appointments for designated areas within Radiology.
  • Making follow up appointments,
  • Locating applicable images/films prior to appointments,
  • Filing requisitions for all bookings, and acting as receptionist to support the delivery of patient care and to ensure client/family needs are met above all other concerns.
  • Rearranging schedules to meet changing demands/requests,
  • Arranging times with patients, doctor's offices, nursing units, physicians, technical staff and surgical/medical daycare,
  • Preparing and confirming patient information, entering booking, patient and image/film information into radiology and hospital computerized and/or manual booking and patient information systems,

Education & Experience


  • Grade 12, two (2) years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience


Knowledge & Abilities


  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
