The ability to meet the requirements of the Pennsylvania Code Title 55 Chapter 3270 Public Welfare Aide qualifications and responsibilities

Attend trainings, be familiar with and adhere to policies relating to Risk Management

A minimum of an 8th grade education and enrollment in a training curriculum described at 3270.31(c)

Report all concerns regarding the children, program and co-workers to the Center Director in a timely manner.

Ensure the safety and well being of all children in the program by providing appropriate supervision and interactions.

Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.

Must meet province requirements for childcare employment

Current immunization and health assessment as per the local Minister of Health Requirements

Assisting RECE’s with instruction in the classroom.

Comprehensive knowledge of provincial acts and regulations related to child care facilities licensing.

Demonstrated knowledge of the provision of quality care within child care facilities.

Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of quality assurance/quality improvement.

Ability to interpret, explain and ensure compliance with applicable requirements and provisions of applicable acts and regulations.

Work, volunteer, or lived experience in a care profession/support capacityORWork experience with cooking, cleaning, laundry, food service industry, or personal care

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook email, online training)

Able to create respectful dialogue with individuals who experience mental illness

Standard First Aid/CPR certification (Level C)

Ability to complete core competency training and other training/recertification’s during course of employment

Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Cleaner: 07:00 to 15:00 and 14:30 to 23:30

Food Service Worker: 06:30 to 14:30, 07:30 to 15:30, and 15:30 to 19:30

Casuals work on an as-needed basis and hours and shifts will vary week to week

Casuals have the opportunity to apply on part time and full time positions internally

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
