Business Intelligence and Analytics Specialist Jobs in Alberta

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions using Power BI

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and create insightful reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI.

3+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence and Analytics Developer, with a strong focus on Power BI

Certification in Power BI preferred

Knowledge of SQL, data querying, and scripting languages

Experience in establishing and managing a BI Center of Excellence, with expertise in Power BI implementation and data governance

Report/present findings and data-driven recommendations to the leadership and management team.

Support any data analytics requests from Supply Management

Three (3) years' working experience within the last 4 years in the business intelligence and analytics analyst role including experience in:

Previous work experience in the pubic sector or large organizations.

Intermediate Business Intelligence and Analytics Analyst Responsibilities

Intermediate Business Intelligence and Analytics Analyst Must Have Skills:

Gather business requirements and manage project tasks and timelines

Familiarity and experience with SQL (Oracle) is required; R/Python knowledge is an asset.

Perform ad-hoc analysis in response to specific business questions or requirements.

Knowledge of Agile methodology is an asset.

Engage with stakeholders to discover, analyze, and evaluate business intelligence needs to design appropriate solutions

Design and develop compelling data visualizations that effectively answer business questions

Improve management of existing data, data analysis and visualizations

Nice to have skills and experiences:

Build data visualization products using PowerBI, and share PowerBI knowledge with colleagues

Sound knowledge of financial acumen

Demonstrated skill in data architecture, data modelling, and data analysis and visualization

Functional experience in SharePoint, SQL and query logic, and cloud infrastructure
