3 to 5 years of training and instructional design experience, with a focus on adult learning principles

Professional services industry experience is considered an asset

Advanced experience with screen capture software and graphic design using Photoshop, Acrobat or similar tools

Contribute to the design, delivery and evaluation of learning and development programs and training

5+ years experience working in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or a related area

Demonstrated experience applying online instructional design principles, practices, and techniques to digital learning design and development

Assess learner knowledge by designing formative and summative assessments

Design and create the learning content (document, job aid, slide deck, e-learning course, simulation, etc.) including:

Follow the process for taking a design approach to building training (reverse-engineer the desired outcomes into the appropriate training solution)

Gather all necessary information from existing documentation, investigation, observation, or other methods

Apply adult learning principles in creative ways

Coordinate the review and validation process including:

· Knowledge of project management tools/software (Microsoft Project, Trello, etc.)

In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models, as well as lesson and curriculum planning skills.

Applied knowledge and experience with Moodle or similar LMS platforms.

Post-secondary accreditation in Adult Learning, Training & Development or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

3 years’ applied knowledge of Articulate Storyline and Rise; adept at acquiring proficiency on new platforms and applications.

Collaborate with designers to enhance the look and feel of assessments, always being mindful of user experience.

Collaborate with developers to spec out interactive requirements for assessments and conceptualize/design interactive prototypes.

Undergraduate degree in STEM and/or Education fields.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English.

Acquires and applies new technology skills to instructional design practice

2-3 years of formal instructional design experience preferred, including conducting in-depth needs assessment using ADDIE (or similar) design model.

Demonstrated experience as an Instructional Designer, with samples to show your skills

Experience with Accessibility Requirements (AODA)

Strong skills with Articulate Storyline 360, or another authoring tool

Must have experience building eLearning for a Moodle LMS (this is a non-negotiable)

Comfort working in ADDIE and Agile environments

Have a strong understanding of the full learning development cycle – needs assessment through to delivery
