Automotive Inventory Specialist Jobs

Travel daily in your company-provided automobile to support the implementation of Vendor Managed Inventory programs at customer locations in your territory.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Supply chain and process improvement experience preferred

Customer service experience, including one year of related industry experience preferred

Relevant military experience a plus

Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Specialist

College diploma in business or a related program preferred, or equivalent related work experience.

5+ years of direct work experience in Distribution Sales.

Knowledge of Liquid Paint and/or Fluid Dispense Applications: Paint proportioners, Metering systems, Transfer piston/diaphragm pumps, Circulation systems, Paint applicators guns.

Knowledge of Automotive Assembly Plants and applications

Computers skills, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and CRM software.

Communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.

One year of experience in Healthcare, Supply Chain or Materials Management preferred.

Runs appropriate reports to identify supply issues that need addressing and, where appropriate, presents solutions and reporting metrics to management.

Pay is based upon relevant education and experience.

Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, determined through on-going skills, competency assessments, and performance evaluations

Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.

Build and maintain Inventory valuation, Inventory aging reports for management review.

Plan, execute and manage purchase orders with vendors to ensure raw material availability according to the forecast.

Manage vendor relations, provide forecasts to vendors on VMI contracts.

Calculate the raw material requirements using the Bill of Materials and forecasted sales for the period.

Minimum 3 years of experience in Inventory & Procurement

Advanced Excel & Business Central user. Preferably had experience going through ERP implementation.

Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS)

Manage the systems (3PL Central).

Knowledge of 3PL Central an asset.

Leads the customer onboarding process.

Leads the cycle counts and inventories.

Leads the technological development of the systems to be an industry leader.

Develop and implement improvements in processes or tools for marketing and product management

Represent CP as required with Clients, Industry organizations as a Knowledge Leader

Strong communication, influence and persuasion skills, specifically to articulate business group annual and multi-year strategies, frame progress and results

Strong analytical and research skills to support the market understandings, trend analysis, emerging issues and competitive dynamics

Excellent Microsoft Excel skills to support analytics and Revenue Plan and variance processes
