Automation Control Technician Jobs

Prefer 2+ years equipment maintenance experience in water and/or wastewater collection or treatment systems

Working knowledge in water/wastewater processes, including pumping and various treatment equipment

Strong leadership, supervisory, prioritization and communication skills (written and verbal) are necessary to help define, develop and enforce initiatives.

Or combination of a DEC in a relevant field and several years of experience in equivalent functions.

Good knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs such as ControlLogix and GuardLogix

Good knowledge of machine safety and associated standards

Knowledge of GE 90-70 type PLCs

Knowledge of Emerson RX3i type PLCs

Strong digital and analog skills required.

Five years calibration experience within a Central Control Monitoring System (CCMS) and Direct Digital Control (DDC) environment is required.

Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.

Incumbent must be willing to improve and/or update skills as required to perform duties.

Must be a technical specialist in Direct Digital Control software implementation.

Training in RACL as well as microprocessor hardware/software systems desired.

Certificate of Qualification or Certificate in a related field or equivalent working experience.

Work with program managers and project engineers at the APQP stage of a program start-up.

Work within QS9000 procedures and requirements.

Schedule production activities for all phases of design, maintenance and inspection to meet the time requirements.

Electronics Technician/Technologist Certificate, Electrician Qualification or equivalent.

Minimum five years experience in CNC and robotic repair/ programming.

Excellent communication (written/oral), time management and organizational skills

Strong time management and organizational skills are a must.

Database Management & Automation skills are a huge plus.

Knowledge of Database Administration (SQL), D#, PowerShell

Experience in SQL, Office 365 Products, Visual Studio, Adobe Products

Previous Centrifuge operating experience strongly preferred;

Ability to travel 50% of the year with up to 1-2 weeks away from home at a time.

Service, set up and maintain surface rental equipment in the shop or field;

ResponsibilitiesYou will review operational documents including time-tag command tables and pass control procedures

You will perform scheduled real-time satellite operations activities including:

Pre-Pass Readiness Tests (equipment configuration, command and data flow tests, etc.)

Pass (equipment operations, table uploads, telemetry verification, on-orbit telemetry and science data dumps, anomaly recoveries, etc.)

Post-Pass file transfer, equipment deconfiguration and event logging

You will verify for unexpected satellite state and limit violations

Experience working with Surface Mount Technology (SMT)
