Athletic Director Jobs in Alberta

Minimum requirement of Certified Instructor, Certified Official qualification or Degree from accredited Athletic Therapy program. Other certification required are as follows:

AFLCA Cycling designation, TRX and/or Kettlebell certification, or Barre certification

Valid First Responder and BLS Certification

Advanced Certification, a Diploma or Degree in Kinesiology is preferred

Any Sport Officiating Level II certification would be an asset

Participant Related experience is required

Prevention, assessment, and management of musculoskeletal injuries.

Reporting operationally to the Acumen Reconditioning Manager, and functionally to the Acumen Medical Director, CEO and Owner/Founder.

Promptly convey all pertinent information to the Acumen Reconditioning Manager while actively participating in periodic meetings and reporting.

0-2 years of Certified Athletic Therapy experience

Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)

Strength and conditioning certification (NSCA, NASM) not required; however, considered an asset.

Strong organizational skill set with effective time management skills.

Recruitment, training and coordination of students in areas of administrative, clinical and on-field experiences with varsity teams.

Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Education or related field of study.

Possess and maintain a valid and current First Responder certificate; current (annual) HCP certification.

Preference is given to candidates who possess a Master's Degree in Kinesiology, Physiotherapy, Education or related field of study.

Ability and desire to continuously learn – knowledge of current theories and issues in the relevant health field.

Communicate & provide administrative support to Manager and Athletic Director of Athletics and Recreation Department

In the absence of the Director or Manager, or as requested, represent as SAIT leadership in:

Registered member of Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA) Certification in good standing

Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Athletic Therapy

Previous experience working with high performance athletes, in a team environment, in a multi-sport environment or at an PSO/NSO level

Preferred experience working in high performance sport
