Assistant Site Superintendent Jobs

-Experience with Management of Change processes

-Strong project management skills with large projects

-Support and follow Management of Change (MOC) process from a maintenance execution perspective.

Have a post secondary education in engineering, architectural, or construction managements

Ensure legal, regulatory and compliance requirements are considered for projects including but, not limited to Ministry of Labour, WSIB and Tarion.

Update and maintain construction Schedule; Discuss any issues with site superintendent and project manager that may impact schedule.

3+ years experience in construction as an Assistant Site Superintendent in high-rise residential projects.

Have all necessary training/certifications (Working at heights, First Aid, WHMIS, and Basics of Supervision)

Thorough knowledge of applicable Parts in OBC and ability to converse fluently with Inspection officers and municipalities

Assuring construction compliance with design requirements.

A passion for construction and past construction project experience are a must-have.

Candidates with construction project experience in the ICI sector will be given preference.

Supervising and coordinating field engineering and construction activities.

Ensuring project materials and workmanship meet the project quality standards.

Working on institutional, recreation and infrastructure projects, the individual will assist the project's Senior Site Superintendent.

3-5+ years' experience in Construction Industry

Trade Qualification or Carpentry ticket would be asset - accepting Apprentices at Level 1, 2, 3 or Red Seal Carpenters

Completion of post-secondary school diploma or degree in Construction Management or Engineering recommended.

Any additional duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

Previous experience with Hotel Builds an asset.

Several years of experience in the ICI construction required.

Familiar hands-on knowledge of Building Codes.

Proved Canadian residential construction superintendent experience. (Min. 2 years)

Proof of Superintendent experience for project review. (Min. 2 years)

Supervision of qualified trade personnel with Ontario Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities certifications.

Undergraduate degree or diploma in construction management, engineering or a trades background

5+ years’ experience in the construction industry, preferably health care, education, sports and recreation construction

Strong leadership skills with experience managing all disciplines, internal employees and external sub-trades

Manage cost control during construction.

Effectively manage own workforce, equipment, materials and trade contractors to attain targeted profit.

Systems sensibility, political awareness, and change management skills

Knowledge and recognition of Indigenous education and reconciliation practices

Experience leading a range of educational priorities

Successful leadership experience in the public school system, preferably at both the school and district levels

Solid understanding of public education governance
