Anti Human Trafficking Youth Worker Jobs

Demonstrated experience working with community partners, the not-for-profit sector, social organizations, community groups, businesses, education, and health care.

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of related legislation including the Ontario Human Rights Code, and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the various social and economic issues that impact the lived experience of residents.

Demonstrated experience supporting projects is required.

Demonstrated knowledge of applying an intersectional approach as it relates to all racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

Excellent communication and writing skills. Ability to prepare and deliver reports and presentations on project status, milestones, achievements, and risks.

Develops and maintains an understanding of the financial crime management processes, frameworks and techniques.

Here are some of the key requirements and responsibilities included in this role:

Knowledge of risk and regulatory requirements as they apply to financial crimes: 1 year (Desired)

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):

Investigative Experience: 1 year (Required)

Provide on-going case management support for up to 20 youth

Excellent report writing skills and previous statistical data collections experience.

Minimum two years’ experience working with young people experiencing homelessness and/or human trafficking.

Knowledge of community resources and systems relevant to youth homelessness and anti-human trafficking

Knowledge of adolescent developmental theory and specific issues related to street youth.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

B.S.W. or M.S.W plus minimum 5 years related working experience, including 2 years at a supervisory/program management level.

Demonstrated skills in human resource management.

Ensure Case Management documentation is complete, and records are compliant with agency guidelines.

Experience with using and implementing a trauma-informed approach in supervision of staff and in working with young people and in programming.

Experience with quality improvement projects and/or program evaluation is an asset.

Demonstrated leadership, initiative, critical thinking and conflict resolution skills.

Perform intermediate to complex analysis that requires knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) schemes.

Assist with other responsibilities as needed, such as file assignments, and request for information tracking and routing.

Undergraduate degree in Finance, Journalism, Criminal Justice or related field. Masters’ degree or JD a plus.

2+ years of experience in an AML or Compliance role

Good understanding of FINTRAC reporting requirements on AML investigations and filing STRs and LVCTRs

Detail-oriented with strong communication skills

Basic knowledge and understanding of cryptocurrency

AML certifications such as CAMS, CFCS, FIS or equivalent are considered an asset

Conduct AML investigation and file STRs

Secretarial responsibilities for global and regional forums;

Strong analytical and writing skills, and sound judgement

Provide support to the heads of Global Sanctions and AB&C Risk and Compliance Programme;

Drafting and dissemination of risk/financial crime related global communications;

Document retention and retrieval for key legal memo’s, risk/financial crime reviews and decisions;

Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills

Provide industry and technical expertise through client interactions, research and analysis, reports, technical work, management presentations, proposals and other high-quality deliverables

Manage engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financials (budgets, WIP, timely billing, collection, variance recognition)

6 to 7 years of advisory or consulting experience with a regulatory body or a financial institution is preferred

Extensive knowledge of anti-money laundering processes and reviews along with regulatory reporting and/or regulatory reporting software packages

Experience with the design, development and implementation of internal controls for financial services business processes

Management of external environment; by supervisor’s request completing building checks and searches.

Crisis intervention in situations of physical confrontation, medical and psychiatric emergencies, and for youth who have recently experienced trauma.

Minimum two years experience in a shelter or residential setting.

Knowledge of adolescent developmental theory and specific issues related to street youth.

First Aid, CPR and basic computer skills an asset.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
