Anti Human Trafficking Youth Worker Jobs in Manitoba

Provide on-going case management support for up to 20 youth

Excellent report writing skills and previous statistical data collections experience.

Minimum two years’ experience working with young people experiencing homelessness and/or human trafficking.

Knowledge of community resources and systems relevant to youth homelessness and anti-human trafficking

Knowledge of adolescent developmental theory and specific issues related to street youth.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

B.S.W. or M.S.W plus minimum 5 years related working experience, including 2 years at a supervisory/program management level.

Demonstrated skills in human resource management.

Ensure Case Management documentation is complete, and records are compliant with agency guidelines.

Experience with using and implementing a trauma-informed approach in supervision of staff and in working with young people and in programming.

Experience with quality improvement projects and/or program evaluation is an asset.

Demonstrated leadership, initiative, critical thinking and conflict resolution skills.

Perform intermediate to complex analysis that requires knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) schemes.

Apply logic, reasoning, and sound decision-making skills to recommend SAR filings.

Manage work efficiently to meet production goals and project deliverables.

Assist with other responsibilities as needed, such as file assignments, and request for information tracking and routing.

Undergraduate degree in Finance, Journalism, Criminal Justice or related field. Masters’ degree or JD a plus.

Management of external environment; by supervisor’s request completing building checks and searches.

Crisis intervention in situations of physical confrontation, medical and psychiatric emergencies, and for youth who have recently experienced trauma.

Minimum two years experience in a shelter or residential setting.

Knowledge of adolescent developmental theory and specific issues related to street youth.

First Aid, CPR and basic computer skills an asset.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
