Successful completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma and/or equivalent related work experience.

Minimum 4-5 years of direct fundraising experience.

Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; must be articulate and confident in written and verbal communication.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Charitable Giving, the Charitable Giving Officer - Major Gifts

Supervise the Donor Relations Coordinator and the Advancement Coordinator and provide direction, guidance, performance management and support to achieve fundraising targets.

Demonstrated skill in compelling storytelling, concise, logical, and grammatically correct writing with experience writing appeals, proposals, and reports.

Set performance targets, monitor, and manage overall performance of the program.

Manage all direct mail and email appeals from concept to results reporting.

Manage the Monthly and Recurring Giving program including donor relations, acquisition appeals and campaigns, as well as recognition and stewardship activities.

Establish and manage a Tribute Giving program, using relevant fundraising strategies to grow this revenue.

•Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and customer service relationship management software

Salary: Up to $40,000 per annum (depending on experience and skills).

•Excellent organizational and administrative skills.

•Detail-oriented, excellent writing skills and an ability to clearly communicate technical information.

•Five years or more of fundraising experience.

Employment Type: Part-time*, some evenings/weekends required, with a benefits package after 3 months of employment.

Budget management experience in all aspects of various annual appeals

Project and campaign management experience

Ensure detailed donor records are kept and track prospect management with the Foundation’s database

Demonstrated success in strategic thinking and project management

Work with the Development Team to ensure fundraising revenue targets are met and/or exceeded while expenses are managed within approved budgets

Work with the Manager, Strategic Initiatives & Grants to support optimum use of the Foundation’s database to enhance annual fund activities

This position may require additional responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Director of Development

Strong data systems and analytical skill to drive fundraising results

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Consideration and implementation of practices that promote Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Knowledge of and experience in independent school culture is an asset

Ability to work independently, combined with skills to thrive in a team-based environment Qualifications

Degree from an accredited post-secondary institution in a related area of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience as a fundraising / Annual Giving professional with a proven record of achieving goals/targets, developing engagement/participation tactics and stewardship strategies

Outstanding organizational skills, ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks to deadlines
