Aircraft Component Overhaul Technician Jobs

Minimum 2 years' experience in related field with strong mechanical and/or mechanical background.

Mechanical experience in related field consider an asset, but not requied.

Minimum 7 years of progressively increasing experience in the execution and management of aircraft maintenance;

Experience in the entry, retrieval, and management of aircraft maintenance records.

Highly experienced in the use of automated data retrieval systems and spreadsheets for the management of maintenance activities.

Experience in the preparation of Fleet Management Reports

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Develop and maintain processes for component maintenance management

     Minimum 7 years of progressively increasing experience in the execution and management of aircraft maintenance;

Experience in the entry, retrieval, and management of aircraft maintenance records.

Highly experienced in the use of automated data retrieval systems and spreadsheets for the management of maintenance activities.

Experience in the preparation of Fleet Management Reports

Minimum 7 years of progressively increasing experience in the execution and management of aircraft maintenance;

Develop and maintain processes for component maintenance management

Providing advice to design engineers regarding component selection (based on heritage, quality and reliability requirements of programs/customers)

Act as technical interface and coordinator with suppliers for meetings, documentation exchanges, NDAs, Export controls, etc (Qualification, etc)

Authorize the purchase of EEE items and ensure they fulfill program/customer requirements prior to reception/stocking.

Assign Value Added Services to EEEs to ensure full compliance to Product Assurance requirements.

Participate in internal EEE related processes reviews & provide guidance/training to internal employees and customers about EEE requirements

Evaluation of components design for high-reliability applications.

Knowledge or experience in thermal management requirements and electro-mechanical integration including PCB layout for high power and high switching frequency applications,

Supports component life-cycle management and ensures new or replacement components are suitable for its intended application.

Advocates for quality control change management processes.

Relevant education in either Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Physics, with at least 5 years relevant industrial experience.

Part management tools, such as Silicon Expert.

Lead and perform the evaluation and qualification of all electronic, electrical and mechanical components for high reliability applications.

Provide component information to SCM for Contract performance management

Required Qualifications: experience in Excel, SAP

Experience and Education: Mine mobile equipment - good understanding of major components on Caterpillar, Hitachi, Komatsu and Shovel equipment

Skills and Knowledge: Mine mobile equipment knowledge

Subject matter expert on MEM E2E Maintenance Program (PRP) Component process

Has a good understanding of OEM / manufacturer's contract terms, process and programs

FAA A&E or A&P Certification

Must have experience performing inspections in Aviation/Aerospace industry

Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases

Communication and problem solving skills

Categorize the damage & rework, estimate how much time to proposed rework and Identify type of rework for the part/LRU.

Perform both final & receiving inspection on repair/overhaul components and piece parts.

Identify, if applicable, the deviations between the parts and the requirements of the engineering drawing;

Manage and maintain the quality record book;

Write certificates of conformity or other required certification; and

Detach parts from the airplane or parts of structures with difficult access for inspection, repair, alteration or assembly;

Identify detached parts or structural parts to be repaired, modified or assembled in accordance with parts lists and procedures in place;

Manually and/or electronically complete the appropriate forms and technical documents according to the procedures in place;
