About the position

We are currently looking for a passionate and driven individual to fill the role of WordPress Product Owner to develop ideas into tangible digital products for various customers using WordPress VIP and integrating these with a suite of other technology platforms. The ideal candidate is always looking for ways to improve a product and to produce technology solutions from concept to delivery that highly satisfies the customer needs.

What you will be doing

• Collaborate with visual and user experience designers on wireframes, interactive prototypes, and production-ready web experiences to provide product guidance and technical strategy
• Develop clear epics, user stories, backlogs, and grooming details based on product vision, business and technical requirements with acceptance criteria for the intended solution
• Represent and advocate for the product vision, customer, and users throughout the product development life-cycle to ensure deliverables are met and product aligns with strategy and vision.
• Advocate for priorities in product development roadmaps and answer questions pertaining to priorities and product definition
• Partner with Senior Developers to define and outline the technical scope and end-to-end delivery requirements of the assigned projects
• Evaluate design deliverables to build feasibility and provide constructive feedback to internal partners, client partners, third-party designers, user experience designers, and project managers.
• Work in close collaboration with clients, business and other stakeholders to develop the product vision and gather product requirements
• Understand the WordPress business, market, and client needs when defining the product strategy, vision and translating requirements for the development team

Who you are

Your are someone with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of WordPress VIP fundamentals, coding standards, associated security protocols, and deep expertise in web product design, development and technologies. You have advanced communication and influencing skills, a keen interest in managing and serving client interests, and an ability to manage priorities in a fully remote or in a team environment. You are a driven individual who is comfortable working with high-traffic sites where performance is a top priority, able to hone your craft through a passion for technology and who is active in the WordPress VIP community.

You possess the following:

• Good research and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability in the development and maintenance of effective client relationships and commitment to strong customer service
• Proficiency in digital applications and website technologies such as WordPress VIP, Headless, and Mobile application solutions with a deep understanding of best practices
• Proven ability to meet deadlines
• Agile / Scrum methodology experience
• Strong knowledge and understanding of digital security standards
• Proficient knowledge and understanding of information technology platforms and integrated systems
• Post-secondary degree with 5 to 8 years of experience with WordPress website product development
• Exceptional team player, adaptable and able to work well under pressure
• Creative and innovative thinking with advanced verbal and written communication and strong impact and influence skills
