About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Web Scraper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of web scraping techniques, data extraction, and automation. As a Web Scraper, you will be responsible for collecting data from various websites, processing and organizing the information, and delivering accurate and relevant data sets to support our business objectives.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement web scraping scripts using Python, BeautifulSoup, or similar tools.

- Identify and target relevant websites for data extraction.

- Extract and parse data from websites according to defined specifications.

- Clean, transform, and validate the collected data to ensure accuracy and consistency.

- Collaborate with the data team to integrate scraped data into databases and systems.

- Monitor and maintain existing web scraping scripts, making necessary adjustments as needed.

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in web scraping techniques.

Qualifications:

- Proficiency in web scraping technologies such as BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, or Selenium.

- Strong programming skills, particularly in Python.

- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to navigate and interact with websites.

- Experience in working with various data formats (e.g., JSON, CSV, XML).

- Attention to detail and the ability to handle and manage large datasets.

- Good understanding of data privacy and ethical considerations related to web scraping.

- Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug scraping scripts.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team.

Must-have skills:

- Deep understanding of web crawling

- HTML and Javascript

- Advanced Knowledge of Node.js
