Position Scope

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Warehouse Associate will play a key role within a team that supports the organization and storage of the flow of goods and services within the purchasing portfolio. The Procurement Team is responsible for the full procurement cycle from initial purchasing discussions with stakeholders and vendors through to proper receipt of goods and services and returns of unsatisfactory products as necessary. This role plays a key part in the storage and warehousing of inventory. Your time will be spent receiving goods, inventory and warehousing activities. This position relies heavily on ERP Systems and CMMS Systems that we use to capture our data.

This is a temporary full-time position for 6 months.

This position is 8-4:30pm, M-F. Our facility operates 24/7. Occasional weekend or on call shifts may be required at times.

This position is based in Squamish, BC.

Safety

• Demonstrate a positive safety culture.
• Ensure that all safety related incidents, accidents and near misses are reported and investigated in line with company policy.
• Identify, report and resolve unsafe conditions, processes or actions within the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Returns that have been identified and collected for potential supplier return and credit.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Off load incoming chemical shipments, move into storage.
• Create Parts in Dynamics 365.
• Unload incoming deliveries with forklift for larger orders.
• Transferring material between Pilot Plant and Innovation Centre.
• Re-order Inventory when required.
• Visual consumable count bi-weekly.
• Help prepare and stage all waste shipments for site storage and removal.
• General housekeeping around the warehouse and offices including cardboard, recycling, garbage etc.
• Outgoing shipments: returns/warranty/samples.
• Label and put away/deliver all received orders into proper locations, special orders area, work orders and/or inventory.
• Enter receiving into our Dynamics 365 (ERP), file paperwork, warehouse materials.
• Receive, open and check all incoming orders against packing slips and verify documentation.
• Assisting Operations with labor tasks.
• Keep chemical tent organized to match plan put in place, notifying inventory shorts to purchasing team.
• All filing of packing slips/invoices/BOL/TDG paperwork.

Education, Experience And Key Competencies

Education :

• Highschool preferred

Experience :

• 2+ years of experience in an inventory and warehousing setting
• Previous experience working with Business Central – Dynamics 365 considered an asset.
• Ability to work with a CMS System.
• Forklift license considered an asset
• Transportation for Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certification considered an asset.
• Inventory and warehouse experience in an industrial setting considered an asset

Key Competencies

• Organize their work schedule to ensure all tasks are completed
• Physical role that involves working both within an industrial plant and outdoor site in all weather elements.
• Able to lift 50lbs
• Strong sense of cleanliness, order, initiative, teamwork, and operational readiness.
• Able to take direction/follow instructions
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
