About EcoSafe®
EcoSafe® Zero Waste Inc. was founded in 2000 with a small team of 3 people operating out of the Founder’s basement with the goal of providing businesses and consumers with an alternative to conventional single use plastics in the collection and processing of food waste. Diverting food and yard waste from landfills cuts down considerably on greenhouse gas emissions produced by the decomposition of organic material and allows these products to be repurposed into nutrient rich compost, which when applied to agricultural purposes reduces our reliance on chemical fertilizers and helps prevent soil erosion. Since it’s inception, the business has grown to over a dozen employees and currently operates throughout North America out of our 20,000 sq. ft. facility in South Surrey, BC. While much has changed over the past 20 years, our commitment to providing our employees with an ethical work-life balance, fair pay, and meaningful employment has not.
