Lighthouse Labs is looking to welcome a new Videographer to help scale our next stage of growth as we expand our brand using video.

Reporting into the Creative Services Manager, the Videographer will help bring creative video assets and initiatives to life. From initial concepts, storyboard development, script editing to running/coordinating video shoots and final editing and post-production. With a keen eye for storytelling in both long and short form.

Although Lighthouse Labs is a remote-first company, for this role we are looking for someone based out of Toronto ON and its surrounding areas due to the need to be on-site during shoots. The ideal candidate is expected to be able to reliably commute to locations and be available to occasional travel across the country.

What you'll be doing:

• Adhere to project timelines, deliverables, and budgetary constraints, demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility and accountability for project outcomes.
• Stay updated on emerging trends, techniques, and technologies in videography and video editing, incorporating innovative ideas into our video production processes.
• Manage video assets and maintain an organized library of footage, ensuring easy access and efficient workflow for future projects.
• Edit raw video footage, applying your creative vision and utilizing industry-standard software to produce polished and visually compelling videos.
• Capture engaging footage using various techniques such as framing, composition, and lighting to effectively convey the desired message.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute video shoots, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality video content aligned with our brand and objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, content, and design, to understand project requirements and deliver video content that aligns with the overall strategy.
• Operate and maintain professional-grade video equipment, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to technical specifications.

What we need from you:

• Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in videography and video editing.
• Proficiency in videography techniques, equipment operation, and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
• Creative mindset with the ability to translate concepts and ideas into visually compelling video content.
• Effective communication skills to work closely with stakeholders, understand their requirements, and deliver videos that meet their expectations.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring the highest level of video quality and accuracy in editing.

• Excellent organizational and project management skills to plan and execute video shoots effectively.
