Overview:

Junior Editor

We are looking to add a Junior Editor to our growing Creative Performance team to help with supporting our Editors with footage intake, proxy process and selects. Alongside the Editor, you will prepare and drive our client’s video advertisements by elevating designs throughout the creative performance process. As our team is highly collaborative, your opinions and comments are valued throughout the creative process.

Coming into the team you understand our edits are clean, cohesive and convey the intended message clearly. You have a creative flair with a strong ability to translate requirements into an edit. You are also a clear communicator who will put up their hand when needed. You will ask alot questions and understand that questions are welcome and at the core of our success.

Our everyday goal as the production team is to inspire our client’s target audience.

Responsibilities

• Prep footage for proxy
• Follow and apply brand guidelines accurately
• Assemble footage for video ads for paid social
• Sort and consolidate select footage
• Create mock-ups with Senior Editor / Editor approval
• Make revisions as needed until client satisfaction is achieved
• Maximize your creativity in Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and After Effects
• Understand and meet internal and external deadlines
• Celebrate when client revisions are complete and the ad launches!
• Amend edits once reviewed
• Organize and maintain creative file management
• Adhere to creative confirmation and understand the requested revisions
• Collect inspiration for new ads
• Attend River meetings and brainstorm collaboratively other departments
• Communicate clearly and request clarification when necessary

Requirements

• A strong video editing portfolio
• Excellent communication skills
• Previous work on digital ads an asset
• Experience with FrameIO an asset
• Degree in Media, Post-Production or Advertising a plus
• Proven video editing experience and understanding of video editing skills (assembly, titling and colour correction)
• Proficiency with Premiere Pro, Photoshop and After Effects
• Organization skills
• Interest in both static and video creative
• Keen eye for detail
