Rise Air is currently looking for full-time, rotational, DHC-6 Twin Otter Captains based in Stony Rapids to join its growing team.


The successful candidate may be required to enter into a financial commitment for training costs prior to the start of training.


Position Requirements


  • Demonstrated knowledge of northern flying operations
  • Valid ATPL
  • Must be able to obtain Transport Canada Restricted Area Pass (RAIC)
  • DHC-3T or DHC-6 Captain Experience
  • Must have current and valid passport
  • Must meet minimum time requirements based on customer standards
  • 2000 hours Multi Engine
  • 3000 hours total flight time
  • Off Strip (floats/skis) experience
  • 750 hours Multi Engine PIC

In addition to base salary, Twin Otter captains will receive a 25 per cent market supplement. Where a Twin Otter captain is BARS compliant, the market supplement will be 40 per cent in addition to base salary. Twin Otter captain will also receive a 10 percent off strip premium. (Salaries advertised include the minimum 25% market supplement)


Twin Otter captains who are flying Medevac flights will receive a $100 per shift premium.


As this is a Safety Sensitive Position, selected candidate(s) must test negative for controlled substances and alcohol prior to employment.
