Trust Administrator, Central Support Group



What is the opportunity?


As a Trust Administrator within the Central Support Group (CSG), you will support the field in identifying and minimizing risk within their book of accounts.


From preparing account reviews and internal control reports to assisting our Wills and Trusts Resource Group, you will provide critical services in a timely and accurate manner to the field. You will assist the field by answering their questions while maintaining high standards of service, quality control and operational efficiency aimed at identifying and reducing risk.

What will you do?


  • Process those control transactions, held by CSG, for the field as required (including but not limited to interest adjustments, stale dated cheques, returned mail, etc.)
  • Preparation of account reviews and internal control reports accurately, efficiently and within service standards.
  • Investigate all outstanding issues for various control reports, ensuring reports remain current and up to date
  • Track outstanding items from account reviews for escalation reporting purposes.
  • Assist the field, as required, with inquiries related to account reviews and various other internal reports and processes.
  • Assist the Wills and Trusts Resource Group (WTRG) with the review of wills and waiver of probate requests to ensure they are completed within service standards.
  • Ensure good understanding and adherence to all RBC processes and policies as required.
  • Contribute to team success by assisting other team members during absences and distribution of work.


What do you need to succeed?


Must-have


  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong teamwork and relationship building skills as success in this role is dependent on working in cooperation with others
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with internal partners in a professional manner
  • Minimum of one year of experience in the financial services industry
  • Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and solid follow-through capabilities
  • Post-secondary education
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills


Nice-to-have


  • Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
  • CSI and/or STEP Canada estate and trust related courses
