Job Description

You will be accountable for assisting clients and third-party vendors with travel bookings and related inquiries through our Call Centre, the Internet, and email. The Travel Consultant will process customer hotel, air, package vacations, and travel insurance purchases for Viaggio's fast-growing regional and global customer base.


Position Responsabiltiies

  • Consistently meet individual performance targets
  • Respond and work on Online Chat services
  • Sell insurance and vendor products
  • Create and maintain accurate invoices for every booking.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality control and ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Answer calls in a timely, courteous, and professional manner
  • Staying updated on the latest travel trends and the different destinations is crucial. Will research and identify new travel products and services that can be offered to our customers. This may involve establishing partnerships with hotels, airlines, car companies, and other travel-related businesses. Works closely with the technology team to ensure that new technology-based initiatives are integrated with hotel partner initiatives.
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate the agency's processes, service delivery, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary adjustments
  • Queue all online bookings
  • Assist with the development and promotion of the Viaggio brand to customers, businesses, and hotel partners.
  • Will ensure that the online travel agency and office comply with travel industry regulations and legal requirements. This includes staying up to date with licensing and certification requirements, maintaining accurate records, and complying with data protection and privacy laws.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
  • Stays current on products, services, promotions, procedures and technology
  • Communicate with 3rd party vendors and tour operators as necessary
  • Strive to exceed customer expectations by providing a high level of customer service. Emphasize the importance of delivering a positive experience to clients at every touchpoint, from initial inquiries to post-travel feedback.
  • Process bookings with accuracy and detail and re-book clients if required
  • Send invoices and e-tickets to clients adhering to TICO regulations
  • Help in troubleshooting website issues/problems
  • Resolve all issues with files returned due to price or credit card discrepancies, contacting clients as necessary
  • Advise and assist clients with payment options such as deposits, full payment, future travel credit, gift cards, and direct deposit
  • Ensure that partner hotels’ products (content, rates, and availability) are consistently optimized on the Viaggio.com site to maximize customer conversion
  • Respond to customer inquiries and requests through email and telephone; assist customers with questions including baggage, documentation required, and seat selection


The Skills, Experience, and Requirements You Need to Be Successful

·Travel and Tourism Diploma preferred

·3-5 years experience in a related role

·Must be TICO management certified

·Strong communication skills

·Superior customer service skills

·Strong knowledge of MS Office - Outlook, Excel, Word

·Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and prioritizing skills

·Attention to detail, data entry accuracy, and speed

·Experience with Sabre, GDS, and OTA sites an asset

·Possibility of occasional overtime hours

Experience:

  • Travel Industry: 3 years (required)
  • GDS - Sabre: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

  • French (preferred)

License/Certification:

  • TICO Management Certification required.
