Tibco Developer/Administrator Jobs

Horizon is currently seeking a Senior Tibco Developer/Administrator to join a one year contract role of our prestigious client SaskPower, based at Regina SK.

Contract Needs:

This is a request for an ESB consultant to work projects as well as provide operational support. This position will require overtime on an as needed basis. Overtime may be required for the following standard IT situations:

- resolution of high or critical incidents

- to manage high work loads

- to meet project delivery requirements

- other normal IT situations requiring overtime that may arise during the course of the work year.

If the consultant is local to Regina it is expected that the successful candidate will work from SaskPower's Regina offices and work SaskPower's regular workday: Mon - Fri 8 AM to 5 PM.

If the consultant is from outside Regina a remote work arrangement will be setup given the ongoing COVID health situation.

Start Date: May 16, 2023

End Date: March 31, 2024

Project Details:

SaskPower is seeking a Senior IT Integration Developer to work with our SOA Team performing TIBCO Development and Administration. This team is responsible for the development, implementation and support of SOA services utilizing the TIBCO Product Suite. The candidate may also be responsible for providing technical administration of servers depending on skill set.

SaskPower currently utilizes version 6 of TIBCO Business Works.

Resources will work on projects, enhancements and support our current production services when needed.

Mandatory Education:

In addition to what's listed in the position catalogue SaskPower requires the following Mandatory Education/Certifications:

• A degree in computer science, software engineering or related discipline or an equivalent mix of education and experience

• Formal TIBCO training on the following:

- Business Works Server (BW)

- Enterprise Message Server (EMS)

Desired Education:

TIBCO training on the following platforms:

- Business Works CE

- Administrator Server

- Rendezvous

– Hawk

Mandatory Experience:

Proven experience developing services with TIBCO version 6

• Proven experience developing applications with Java and Web Service development (HTTP, HTTPS, JMS, JSON, Restful Service, SOAP)

• Proven experience working with certificates and SSL

• Understanding and experience with SOA concepts.

• Proven experience working in an enterprise envrionment utilizing proper IT processes:

- SDLC

- Change Control

- Incident Management

- etc.

Desired Experience:

SaskPower would like resources who have experience with all aspects of the SDLC taking enhancement requests from start to finish. Activities include the following:

- working with end users to understand and document requirements

- developing solutions for straight forward enhancements

- building those solutions

- developing appropriate test plans based on SaskPower's approach to quality

- executing system testing and leading users through UAT for enhancements

- developing robust deployment plans

- deployment to production environments

Deliverables:

This service will be delivered under direction of the Manager, Application Management and SOA.

The following deliverables will be required but are not limited to:

- requirements documentation per SaskPower direction and templates

- design documentation including DSD's or Technical Specifications

- TIBCO ESB Coded Services, scripts, etc.

- Test plans, scenarios, cases, results

- deployment plans

- support documentation

- project documentation including transition to operations documentation

- other documentation as directed by SaskPower.
