Testbay Technician Journeyman Electrician

Responsibilities

·In this position technicians will be responsible for installing, connecting, troubleshooting, and testing Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Compressors and associated equipment to site specific standards.

• Responsible to identify areas for improvement, and the use of Nonconformance (NCR) reports.
• Follow all safety rules and test procedures.
• Ensure quality of work showing an eye for detail.
• Maintain a safe work environment within the department and on each job.
• Loading PLC programs via TIA Portal or SD cards
• Proper usage and knowledge of all hand and power tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Ensure that time is properly tracked and allocated to each job.
• To be punctual and available for a minimum of 40 hours of work per week.
• Perform work in accordance with IMW documented policies and procedures.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics.
• Troubleshoot, and repair industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices.
• Complete all applicable quality records.
• Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
• Any additional duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by Test Bay Foreman

Qualifications

• You are mechanically inclined
• You are comfortable working with equipment rated up to 600V
• Certified Journeyman Electrician (Inter-Provincial Ticket)
• You have experience with industrial equipment installation (preferred but not necessary)
• Basic computer skills required
• PLC programming knowledge and trouble shooting (preferred but not necessary)
• Knowledge of gaseous fueling equipment and their operations (preferred but not necessary)

·Basic electrical and mechanical hand tools experience

·Must have strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

·Adheres to and enforces all company rules and regulations.
