Journeyman Electrician Jobs

Applicants must have experience in theICI industry and must be willing to travel to different job sites as required.

Responsibilities:

• Wear PPE/Arc Flash clothing.
• Troubleshoot and repair industrial breakdowns on various equipment, determine root cause, troubleshoot power distributions & fluid power systems
• Troubleshoot and install machine controls, safety circuits, PLC’s & relays.
• Abide by the laws pertaining to Electrical Safety Authority Codes. ESA
• Travel to and from manufacturing locations located in Southwestern Ontario
• Communicate any problems, equipment/materials required, safety or quality concerns to foreman in a timely manner.
• Complete required paperwork (i.e. work orders, safety JAM's, timesheets, etc.)
• Follow and use the Ontario Hydro Code, keep up to date on regulations.
• Interrupt schematics and amend as required.
• Complete installations and panel building as required
• Adhere to document work procedures set out for the activities being performed.

Requirements:

• High level of interpersonal/ communication skills to work effectively with others
• Knowledge of analog and digital control applications
• Knowledge of and ability to ensure a safe industrial work environment.
• Industrial Electrician – 442A
• 3+ years of related work experience as Industrial Electrician manufacturing/ processing and production environment.
• Hands-on experience with power, control and communication systems and circuits
• High level of analytical ability where problems are complex.
• Hands-on experience with predictive and preventive maintenance practices.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics and engineering drawings.
• Computer skills would be beneficial
