Job Title: Journeyman Electrician - Commercial/Light Industrial

Company Overview: We take pride in servicing all electrical installation and maintenance needs for various commercial construction projects throughout Metro Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. With a focus on customer satisfaction and safety, we offer expertise in plans and specifications bid price, design-build, and time and material services. Our dedicated team collaborates with clients and consultants to ensure successful project execution and exceptional results.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance for commercial construction projects in the Greater Vancouver area.
• Provide coaching and support to apprentices and helpers, fostering a collaborative and skilled workforce.
• Safely handle electrical systems, wiring, circuitry, and other electrical components, adhering to Vancouver's electrical codes and regulations.
• Collaborate with colleagues and consultants to pre-plan and coordinate project tasks efficiently.
• Work on high-profile projects, including The Whistler Hydrogen Fuelling Station, Ocean Spray Receiving Station, and Vancouver Convention Centre Expansion Project.

Qualifications:

• Excellent physical health and fitness for undertaking electrical tasks.
• Willingness to coach and support apprentices and helpers as needed.
• Experience in the electrical construction industry is considered an asset.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial electrical experience in the Greater Vancouver
• Mechanically inclined with proficiency in using hand tools.
• Good communication and writing skills with the ability to maintain a daily log.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and interact with clients and colleagues.
• Applicants must reside in the Greater Vancouver area or plan to relocate before starting work.
• Knowledgeable in all practical and theoretical facets of the electrical construction trade.
• Grade 12 education with strong math skills.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Red Seal Certification is considered an asset
• Able to complete normal record-keeping and job documentation accurately.
• Willingness to be available for work outside normal hours as requested.
• Holds a current Trades Qualification certification, interprovincial standing, or exemption.
• Must have a reliable car for mobility within the Greater Vancouver area.

Schedule:

• Full-time position with 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday in Vancouver.

Salary:

• Hourly wage $32.00 to $40.00 per hour.
