We are currently seeking a Temporary Labourer to join our Maintenance Team at our Wynyard site in Wynyard, SK. This temporary position is for a period of 4 months (April to August).
Hourly rate: $23.00
The Wynyard Plant is located right on Big Quill Lake, in a friendly community of 1,800, situated 50 minutes from the city of Humboldt and a 2 hour drive from Saskatoon. Our Wynyard Plant is Canada’s largest producer of sulfate of potash (SOP), currently employing 34 people, with an annual production of 37,000 metric tonnes of SOP. Our product is used in pharmaceuticals, specialized agricultural fertilizer, animal food and in various industrial applications, serving our customers throughout North America, South America, Europe, and regions of Asia.
How will you contribute to the team?

• Equipment greasing and oil duties.
• Support all site-level Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security initiatives and comply with all OH&S policies and regulations.
• General labour duties (i.e., buffing, painting, housekeeping/clean-up, and collecting/disposing garbage).
• Basic landscaping duties (i.e., grass and weed control).
• Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Load and offload goods to and from trailers and storage areas.
• Ensure that work areas are clean, safe, and organized.
• Load bulk trucks and packaged trucks (forklift training will be provided as necessary).
• Assist the Maintenance and Operations team in their general duties.

You bring to the role:

• Physical strength and stamina, which enables the individual to move swiftly, lift and move objects up to 50 lb, efficiently handle equipment, and perform competently.
• Must demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude.
• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Must be able to work at heights.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Good time management skills that enable completion of assigned daily tasks.
• Previous forklift experience is preferred.
• Must provide own safety footwear (other required PPE will be provided).
• Be able to work in both indoor and outdoor conditions, heat, cold, high humidity, rain, and in wet and dusty locations.
